La Pommeraie: geothermal drilling

In Ellignies-Sainte-Anne, the geothermal project at La Pommeraie illustrates how underground energy can support a strong human mission. At the heart of this site dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities, our team drilled 8 geothermal boreholes 120 meters deep, as well as all the horizontal connections required for the future heating system. Thanks to this geothermal installation, La Pommeraie will benefit from local, comfortable and sustainable heat, in keeping with its values of caring and respect for residents. The aim is to create a living environment that is both thermally stable and exemplary in terms of energy efficiency, to enable each resident to live, feel and flourish. By opting for geothermal energy, La Pommeraie is also anticipating the challenges of tomorrow: reducing carbon footprint, controlling consumption and continuously adapting to residents’ needs.
