Geothermal energy on a neighborhood scale: Chastre

In the Boischamps district of Chastre, WellDoneDrill is installing a geothermal heating network foran eco-neighborhood of 95 homes (61 houses and 34 apartments). A 140-meter borehole captures the stable heat of the ground (12-13°C year-round) to heat homes via a shared water circuit. This system halves CO₂ emissions per household and stores surplus solar or wind energy in the ground like a natural battery. This project optimizes geothermal energy for the neighborhood and potentially neighboring municipal buildings, for a more sustainable future.
